Improve the quality of scientific research in
Benin's universities and research institutes by tackling predatory journals and
conferences.
Predatory journals pose a significant threat to academic integrity
and the scientific careers of researchers, hindering scientific progress in
developing countries, including Benin. Unfortunately, there is currently no
comprehensive process in place to address this issue in Benin. To combat
this situation, the University of Abomey-Calavi, in collaboration with the Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research and the National Academy of
Sciences, has launched this project aimed at improving the quality of scientific research in
Benin's universities and research institutes by tackling predatory journals and
conferences.
Strengthen scientific integrity and research excellence in Benin by
raising awareness among researchers, teachers, and students about ethical publishing and conference practices,
and by implementing inclusive strategies to prevent
publication and participation in predatory journals and conferences.
